Addressing the
Envelopes and Preparing
Your Invitations for Mailing |
|
A wedding invitation is one of the most formal types of invitations and has a
set protocol for addressing and assembling (commonly called
“stuffing the envelopes”). When we deliver your invitations
to you, we provide you with a short “presentation ceremony”
-- We present to you one of your invitations, completely
assembled, ready for mailing, and explain the etiquette for
the placement of each item in your wedding invitation ensemble
in the envelopes. We also coach you about postage and addressing
matters. During the presentation ceremony, we explain
the etiquette of preparing your wedding invitation mailing,
addressing the envelopes, and the correct placement of each
item in your invitation ensemble. As a reminder, we also provide
you with quick reference summary (for later use!) on the etiquette
points discussed during our presentation ceremony. Once you
take the invitation home, because of your advanced planning,
you will have sufficient time to hand address the envelopes,
prepare them for mailing and perform a final double-check
against your guest list.
We are known for our "presentation ceremony."
Many of our brides have told us that our ‘presentation ceremony’
is a very special moment for them – it is the first time
they
see and hold their actual invitation ensemble with its elegant
printing, quality papers, etc., - and seeing everything
in
print in that moment makes their wedding real and imminent.
We encourage brides to invite their fiancés, parents and
family
members. To capture this moment, some brides have taken pictures
for their wedding scrapbook.
When your guests receive your invitation,
given the weight of the envelope, the quality of the envelope
paper and preprinted return address, curiosity gets the best
of them and your invitation will be the first thing they
will open.
